"Asia Sets Foot on the World Stage – Is there a New World Order?"

The rise of China and India will significantly change the framework of international relations. I would go so far as to characterize the economic modernisation of Asia as the most far-reaching effect of globalisation so far. If we accept this, then what does it mean for today‘s rich countries including the leading European economies? Listening to the pessimists one could think that the
collapse of the West was imminent. However, I am not a pessimist. Europe has put its ability to reinvent itself to the test time and again. One should not underestimate this ability.
